Area of Service: East County

Hello, my name is Mary Stevenson and I come to Grays Harbor from Louisiana with a gumbo of talents. As well as an accent and some Cajun recipes!

Transplant
I was born a Cajun named Mary Delouche Cormier in a little Historic South Louisiana town called Washington. It was a Bayou Port from late 1700’s to the early 1900’s. It is a beautiful little agrarian town where many plantation homes as well as town homes have been lovingly restored.

While growing up in this little historic town I had many passions. The two main ones that are still with me today are horses and antiques. They both served me well in regards to the community’s historical activities. While in Louisiana I worked as tour guide for our Annual Tour of Homes, (which is why I’m a real estate agent today), and organized and participated in Civil War Re-enactments and living history events. I demonstrated side saddle riding, carriage driving, soap making, and everyday 1800’s living.

It was here that I lived until I met and married my Hoquiam, WA husband, Paul Stevenson. We moved to Washington State in 2001.

We live happily in Elma with 2 dogs, 2 horses, a cat and a house full of antiques.

Over 20 Years Marketing Experience!
So that is how I came to the Great Northwest with an accent and some Cajun recipes! Now let me tell you about my gumbo of talents.

Before coming to the Great Northwest I spent 15 years in advertising and marketing in such markets as radio and newspaper. I worked 14 years at a local New York Times Newspaper named The Daily World. I have also worked as marketing coordinator for LASCO Pipe Fittings where I was responsible for trade shows, advertising, news releases, etc. I have a BA in Agriculture as well as an MBA in Business.

Understanding Local Real Estate
I have been selling real estate in the State of Washington since 2001. Originally I started selling properties in Olympia but eventually expanded into Grays Harbor County where I now live.

I know first hand the trials and tribulations of moving, whether it’s across town or across county. I work hard at helping my clients understand the market and prepare for the adventure.

Community Service
Since moving to Western Washington I have been involved in these organizations and community service.

• Elma Library Board, President 2006-2008
• Rotary Club of East Grays Harbor County Centennial President 2006-2007.
• Elma Chamber of Commerce
• Habitat for Humanity
• Long time blood donor
